Indian Team announced for Kolkata Test, Harbhajan still not selected

According to the fresh news there will be no change in the Indian cricket team squad for the second test against West Indies series starts on November 14 in Kolkota. In this test leg-spinner Rahul Sharma will again replace the offspiner Harbhajan Singh.

Though India won the first test in Delhi with the margin of 5 wickets, but West Indies gave a tough task as they took a 95- run lead in first-innings .The batsman that just returned from their injury like Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar made vital hand-outs to the victory. Three other players like Gautam Gambhir, Ishant Sharma and Yuvraj Singh showed their out-come of the fitness problem through-out the test.

The new bowling attack with untested left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha fared well taking six wickets and Man of the Match R Ashwin grabs six wickets in the second innings on his introduction match. Harbhajan Singh Dropped for 1st Two-ODI matches against England


According to the fresh reports released by the BCCI saying that it has issued the list of all the 15-man squad for the first two games of their one-day international series against England, which starts on 14 October.

Further. The fresh list includes seven players, including star names Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan and Yuvraj Singh who are missing with injuries sustained on the recent tour of England.

However, the good news is that opening batsman Gautam Gambhir returns after missing the ODIs in England with concussion.

But there is no place for fit-again spinner Harbhajan Singh.

Gautam is as good a captain as Dhoni: Balaji

Kolkata Knight Riders' Laxmipathy Balaji says skipper Gautam Gambhir is as good as Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni when it comes to leading the side.

That KKR moved beyond the league stages of the IPL for the first time, in the fourth edition of the tournament, was due to Gambhir's captaincy, Balaji felt.

England requires 275 runs to beat India

Harbhajan ruled out; Yuvraj still not well

Harbhajan, who is struggling with form, picked up the injury during the second Test at Trent Bridge which India lost by a massive 319 runs on Monday. He is likely to be replaced with Amit Mishra if India doesn't decide to go with a all pace attack.

"Harbhajan has a grade one lower abdominal tear and is expected to be out of action for 10-12 days," ESPN Cricinfo reported.

Yuvraj, who was hit on the left hand by quick Tim Bresnan on Monday, had a scan on the injured hand.

“The forefinger is swollen and Yuvi can’t even lift it... It’s just not encouraging,” a team official said.

Zaheer Khan is recovering from a right hamstring strain.

But the good news was the Virender Sehwag landed in London on Wednesday morning and headed straight head to Northampton for the two-day match there against Northants, beginning Friday.

Opener Gautam Gambhir, who picked up an elbow injury during the opening Test, is also set to return for the Edgbaston Test.

Sehwag missed the first two Tests and the West Indies series to recuperate from a shoulder surgery.

The third Test in Birmingham, starts on August 10.

Chennai Super Kings beat Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets

According to the fresh reports from the IPL 2011 season, Chennai Super Kings team beat Rajasthan Royals by 9 wickets in a very interesting match here Played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai  .

Michael Hussey (79 n.o., 55b, 8x4, 1x6) and Suresh Raina (61, 51b, 3x4, 1x6) helped Chennai ease to an eight-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, here on Wednesday.

Rajasthan made 147 and its lack of bowling wherewithal meant that even the early loss of Murali Vijay did little to hamper Chennai's chase; the target was whittled down in 18.4 overs.
