The Kiwi player are really happy after they blasted in the all the departments of the match.
No doubt, they lost the toss, but it really did not affect the result of the match.
They bowl first and Kiwi bowlers performed a super show down the ground and helped to bowl out Kenya at just 69 runs on the board.
The bowling department was lead by Jacob Oram, and HK Bennett.
During the presentation ceremony:-
Bennett is named out as the Man of the Match: he said, “Been tough for us after the India game. I have been working on the yorker a lot, especially for the Powerplays. Hopefully it won't get much hotter than this for the rest of the tournament. It is pretty tough to get used to.”
The winning captain from New Zealand Vettori said, “Wicket had a bit of variable bounce, which our seamers exploited. some big games coming up, good to start like this. With Mills coming back, there might be some changes for the next game. Nathan has done brilliantly as well for us.”
However, the loosing captain from Kenya Kamande, “Don;t think it was the wicket. It was the areas NZ bowled. We got to be more positive in whatever we do. NZ came very hard at us. We have to learn from this performance today. There are some more games coming up for us.”
