Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat against Pakistan

According to the fresh reports from the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, Pakistan is all set to face three times champion Australia in today’s Played at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo (neutral venue), 19 March 2011 - day/night (50-over match). 


Australia v West Indies in Dhaka; India v New Zealand in Ahmedabad; Pakistan v South Africa in Dhaka, and England v Sri Lanka in Colombo.

2pm Australia have won the toss and will bat. Ricky Ponting has named the same side that saw off Canada last week, but the big news comes from the Pakistan camp, where Shoaib Akhtar will not be playing. Having announced his retirement, could it be he's played his last game? Surely he'll be back for the quarters, but you never know with Pakistan.
