Ireland will play in 2015 World Cup |
According to some fresh news from the World of Cricket, Ireland will be given the another chance to qualify for the next ICC Cricket World Cup which is scheduled to play 2015 World Cup after it was confirmed that it will be contested by 14 teams.
It is reported in the final meeting of the International Cricket Council has decided to maintain the 14-team format that was used in this year's World Cup rather than reduce the competing nations to 10, which the ICC had originally decided to do and was a move that had been highly-criticised.
Now, it is clear that four associate teams will line up alongside the 10 full members at the tournament in Australia and New Zealand.
On the other hand, Ireland defeated England in the World Cup earlier this year and also beat Pakistan in the 2007 competition in the West Indies.
