According to the fresh reports from the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, India is all set to face three times world champion Australia in today’s First match of the ICC Cricket World Cup quarter finals match Played at Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad.
The captain from the Australi, Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat first.
While talking to media, he said that 250 runs on this groud are quite enough to stop Indians to achieve the target.
They played really well today and scored 260 runs with the loss of 6 wickets in their total 50 overs of the match.
The captain from the Australian team, Ricky Ponting hit a superb hundred today, it was his 30th hundred in the International Cricket and 6th against the India.
This is also his 5th hundred in the World Cup’s so far he played all.
Ashwin is the pick of the bowlers from the Indian team, he managed to get the break through for his team by getting the important wicket of Waston with 25 individual score.
Now, all the Indian will have high desires from the Indian team to beat the Australia here today. They wll would like to see some better batting show by the big guns from the team.
Sachin Tendulkar and Vire are the most important player for today’s match. They both have to give a good start only then India can beat the Aussi target.
Now, we all hope that India can achieve the target of 261 runs and then they will play against Pakistan in the semi-final at Mohali.

It was indeed a great game of cricket. Ponting showed a lot of character by scoring a century but wasn't enough against the super charged Indian team.
Yes....it was really a great game that day, but india'z played best and showed their upper hand....
