Indian Team announced for Kolkata Test, Harbhajan still not selected
According to the fresh news there will be no change in the Indian cricket team squad for the second test against West Indies series starts on November 14 in Kolkota. In this test leg-spinner Rahul Sharma will again replace the offspiner Harbhajan Singh.
Though India won the first test in Delhi with the margin of 5 wickets, but West Indies gave a tough task as they took a 95- run lead in first-innings .The batsman that just returned from their injury like Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar made vital hand-outs to the victory. Three other players like Gautam Gambhir, Ishant Sharma and Yuvraj Singh showed their out-come of the fitness problem through-out the test.
The new bowling attack with untested left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha fared well taking six wickets and Man of the Match R Ashwin grabs six wickets in the second innings on his introduction match. Their extraordinary presentation ensured that Harbhajan, a confident chooses in Indian team will have to wait for the chance to make his comeback.

Kapil Dev replaces Imran Khan as Speaker at Sardesai Memorial Lecture
Former India skipper and all-rounder Kapil Dev would deliver the annual Dilip Sardesai Memorial Lecture at the Cricket Club of India on Thursday, in place of the original speaker, former Pakistan captain Imran Khan.
"Imran is stuck with the political situation in Pakistan. Kapil Dev is now going to deliver the lecture on the Future of Indian Cricket," said sources connected with the function on Wednesday.
Imran, the 1992 World Cup-winning skipper, who is heading a political party in his country, was to speak on how India-Pakistan cricket can be used to bridge the gap between the two neighbouring sub-continent countries.
The sources insisted that the change of speakers at the annual lecture in memory of former Test cricket Sardesai, who died on July 2, 2007, had nothing to do with the earlier controversy, in which, another function at the CCI relating to a former Pakistan cricketer, the book release of Shoaib Akhtar's autobiography 'Controversially Yours', was cancelled.
Akhtar had made controversial remarks about two icons of the Indian squad, Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, to kick up a storm in the country and the function was cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances".

Shoaib book opens a fraught Tendulkar debate
Shoaib Akhtar's straight, naïve, controversial, and at times, funny autobiography has triggered a mini-storm in India. The controversial ex-Pakistan speedster has grabbed attention by questioning Sachin Tendulkar's abilities.
The book has rubbed people the wrong way but taking pot shots at Tendulkar has elicited maximum attention. Shoaib's controversial career may have dented his credibility but it does provide the insight of arguably the fastest bowler in the game.
“I think players like Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid weren't exactly match-winners, nor did they know the art of finishing a game. Things changed when younger players like Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh arrived on the scene. These guys played to win,” Shoaib says in his book.

Sachin’s fever is a worry for India
As per fresh reports from the world of cricket, India is fighting hard to save the first test match against England at Lords here.
Now, there is news that master blaster Sachin Tendulkar is down with fever and may bat only after the fall of India 's fifth wicket in the second innings if he doesn't take field on Sunday.
The little master remained absent on the field for the short period England batted in their second innings on Saturday after India were bowled out for 286.
However, the batsman did well to carry on until lunch break and kept the hopes of his 100th international century alive with some exhilarating strokeplay to start the second session on day three.
Though, he then got out, caught at second slip off Stuart Broad for 34, he had spent nearly an hour and a half in the middle with fever. And soon after returning to the dressing room, the little master left the ground for team hotel.
But with his team fighting to save the match, Tendulkar needs to be at his best in India 's second innings, or else England could run away with a 0-1 lead in the four-match series.
However, as per rules, Tendulkar would be required to field during England 's second innings on Sunday to bat at No. 4. Failure to do so will not allow him to take guard before the fall of fifth Indian wicket in their second innings.

Sachin Tendulkar: "It's a typical Wankhede wicket, and should be good to bat on. I've spoken to Sehwag and he's promised to behave today."
Sehwag: "I've told my boys to play freely, and without pressure. Hopefully the crowd will support us also. The dew factor is there, which is why we want to bowl. All four games are must-win, hopefully we can do well today."

Sehwag topples Malinga as most valuable player in IPL
This is a special MVP update. After the blistering knock against the Deccan Chargers, we thought readers might be curious to know Virender Sehwag's ranking.
Sehwag's MVPI has soared from 390 to 557. And he's now 103 'runs' ahead of purple-capped Lasith Malinga.
Other Sehwag firsts include winning the Orange cap (aggregate 422), most sixes in IPL-4 (18) and most fours in IPL-4 (51).
At one stage Sehwag had scored 105 runs in just 38 balls, at a strike rate of almost 300.
Among batsmen who have scored 150 or more runs, Sehwag's strike rate of 178.8 is bettered only by Chris Gayle (186.3).
Others players who have scored more than 150 runs at a strike rate greater than 150 are Jesse Ryder (160.4), Yusuf Pathan (154.5) and Shaun Marsh (154.1).

Dhoni wins the toss and Chennai will bowl. "A bit different from what we normally do ... but MI are filled with many good batsman who might chase anything we put on the board. In a T20 game it is not about how you look on paper, but what you do on that particular day." Southee and Jakati out.

Mahela: "Looks a very good track, not sure what would be a good score though. We have strengthened our batting today.
Unfortunately VVS Laxman has pulled his back. We have left out Murali and Sreesanth, brought in Thisara Perera and Ramesh Powar.
