Ireland will first Bowl against South Africa today

South Africa team
According to the fresh reports from the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, South Africa is all set to face Ireland in today’s match played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata (neutral venue).

The captain from Ireland has won the toss and elected to Bowl first.

Toss: William Porterfield wins the toss and Ireland will bowl first. "I think the pitch will stay the same throughout the game. Trent Johnston is back in for Botha who is not well. There is no pressure on us. We have to win this one to stay in the tournament. Not many people are giving us a chance in this game."

Smith: "We have decided to rest AB. We noticed there could be a bit of dew around in the evening. This is a very important game for us."

South Africa returned to international cricket at Eden Gardens in 1991, and Firdose Moonda has more on the historic ground.

Pitch Report: Ian Botham says there is some live grass on the pitch, and some bare areas as well. He says it looks full of runs, though it might be a bit two-paced, and the team that wins the toss should bat first.

It was really a nice match yesterday, South Africa won the match, but still some nice batting performance was shown by Ireland players.

South Africa won the match by 131 runs, a huge win for them, and now they are sure to have big matches ahead in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.
