ICC World Cup:- Indians focus on batting training

According to the latest news from the ICC World Cup Cricket, the Indian players are now more focused about their batting training at the National Cricket Academy grounds in Bangalore.

The little master from the Indian team Sachin Tendulkar, who underwent a MRI Scan at a Mumbai hospital on Sunday after feeling some pain in his knees, had light weight training at the gym and didn't bat or bowl.

However, Ashish Nehra, who did not, played the opening World Cup 2011 game against Bangladesh due to a back spasm, joined the team late and opted for some light weight training.

The middle-order batsman from the team, Yuvraj Singh, did not bat and opted for some stretching exercises.

Virender Sehwag, Sreesanth and R Ashwin didn't come to the training on Tuesday.

In the meantime, main importance was given to batting, though Piyush Chawla, Yusuf Pathan and Munaf Patel did have a bowl.

Gautam Gambhir batted against the seamers, for the longest time while MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, and Virat Kohli tried their batting skills against the spinners' nets, each tackling a few balls each.

Interestingly, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan didn't bowl but to chose to face throwdowns from the coach Gary Kirsten.

For the entire duration of the training session, Harbhajan and Zaheer faced only Kirsten.

They started playing the drives before they practiced pulling against the short-pitched deliveries.
